'Psyren' Official Trailer Presages a Psychic Anime Mystery - Animation Magazine

REMOW Co., Ltd. has unveiled a new visual and new trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Psyren, the psychic battle action manga by Toshiaki Iwashiro, originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008 to 2010. Produced by Satelight (Aquarion, Symphogear), the series is set to premiere in October 2026 (on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Japan) and will fully adapt the manga storyline through to its conclusion.

The trailer opens with protagonist Ageha Yoshina using a mysterious red telephone card — the only clue he has in his search for his childhood friend, Sakurako Amamiya, who has mysteriously disappeared. Transported without warning to the mysterious world of “Psyren,” Ageha finds himself caught up in a deadly game alongside Hiryu Asaga and the others.

The footage also offers a glimpse of the characters unleashing their psychic abilities known as “Psi,” as they face brutal battles in their quest to uncover the mysteries of a devastated future world.

It has also been announced that the opening theme will be “WARNING!!” performed by new-generation three-member unit CLAN QUEEN. A portion of the song can be heard in the new trailer.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be involved through music in this long-awaited anime adaptation. I wrote the song with the image of pushing beyond your limits and continuing to reach out, even as warning alarms ring throughout your entire body,” said guitarist, vocalist, lyricist and composer AOi. “Above all, this is a track where every sound bursts forth with raw energy. Devour our creativity.”

Two additional cast members have also been revealed: Yuhko Kaida (Isabella'da The Promised Neverland) as Matsuri Yagumo, Sakurako Amamiya’s mentor, and Nobuyuki Hiyama (Hiei in YuYu Hakusho) as Dolkey, an enemy who stands in the way of Ageha and the others. They join previously announced cast members Rikuyia Yasuda as Ageha Yoshina, Mayuko Kazama as Sakurako Amamiya, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Hiryu Asaga, Soma Saito as Oboro Mochizuki, and Yukihiro Nozuyama as Kabuto Kirisaki.

“Just watching the trailer is enough to get me incredibly excited!” Kaida commented. “Recording has been an absolute blast, working alongside such an amazing staff and talented cast. Matsuri may love her drinks, but she’s also a dependable, big-sister type, and I’m having a fantastic time giving the role everything I’ve got. After nearly 15 years, Ageha and the others’ game is finally set in motion. Let’s uncover the mysteries of the world of Psyren birlikte!"

Hiyama shared, “Psyren was originally serialized quite some time ago, and now, after all these years, it’s finally getting an anime adaptation. You can really feel the power this series has! Dolkey, the character I play, is — in a way — a pretty straightforward villain! I absolutely love playing characters like him, so I was able to really throw myself into his direct confrontations with the protagonists. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing that side of him in action!”

Psyren Katsumi Ono'nun yönettiğiSymphogear), with series composition by Shin Yoshida (Yu-Gi-Oh! serisi), karakter tasarımı Akira Okuma'ya ve müzikleri Takashi Ohmama, Tatsuhiko Saiki ve Shu Kanematsu'ya ait.

In addition to streaming worldwide on Crunchyroll (excluding Japan), Psiren will stream in Russia on IVI starting in October.
